GW2 gets a new Event system (Rift: Planes of Telera)

To follow on from and in a similar style to GW gets a new skin post :)

And nothing GW related but here's a look at the soul system

  1. Hmmm, while I see somne similarities with GW2, Rift actually tries to do something new rather than Tera's redoing a multiplayer Diablo clone while making sure every clip contains underdressed ladies.

With Rift I'm thinking they're building on the PQ system from WAR a little closer than GW2 is doing it. This may be influenced by the similar art-style between WAR and Rift. Tera's underclad dames are of course more reminiscent of GW's so hence that comparison.

  3. Probably the worst example of underclad female to pollute any gamers screen:

Tera are pushing some boundaries that's for sure

  4. Not really, that run looks awfully familiar from my Lineage II days actually. L-II's saving grace was that the grind to offset it :-)

  5. After seeing this video I'm convinced there's not a shred of originality, or class for that matter, in the whole of Tera...

  8. The bend over running skills are very Lineage II, but I can't recall they made the skirt stand up even more like there is a bunny tail keeping it up.

Bit questionable is how you two managed to find (and watch) so many clips of bottoms of TERA girls :-P

  9. The second Rift clip give me the impression that everybody can play all classes at the same time. Just collect enough souls and you can play anything. That makes for a rather blend game.

Added to that I don't really see what the lore behind the game is. It is about closing the rifts. So it is just about running around doing PQs till you are level max? That was a rhetorical question since I know there is more to it, but my enthousiasm is pretty low for now.
