Its smaller, little Old Town is loaded up with uncommon wooden homes and interesting constructions. The city is home to numerous notorious structures, yet there are various different regions to investigate and delighted in. The FDNY has a site that is committed to it, however its Facebook page is given solely to news and occasions.ufabetDorothyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07246890334276389115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6477169190731480241.post-71974359484780279832021-04-25T19:01:00.828+02:002021-04-25T19:01:00.828+02:00When Was Running Discovered A very awesome blog po...When Was Running Discovered A very awesome blog post. I think one of the mistakes we made in the past is starting our own little clan, and not talking too other much, and since we're not playing all that often at the same time, we all get bored too soon. It sounds like it has great opportunities to work together. It got a few more points in my book. Good job as the Gamers Republic server has gone down, maybe for patching? Last nights patch didn't do a lot to increase my frame rate but mine was ok anyway. Rolled a new character on an official server as it's likely to be always up and patched on time. Tamed my first creature, a level 3 Dodo, who made it to level 4 before valiantly sacrificing itself so I could live when we ran in to a pack of Dilo (poison breathing aggressive carnivores). Beasts get a buff when they have a mate and if they are in a pack the pack will attack you. It sure is tough on that island! So starting anew and this time I have enough knowledge to survive longer (he hopes) and looking for a better location to start my new homestead :)Geekzorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11313017286168613164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6477169190731480241.post-67211145494457904732013-07-30T15:19:09.237+02:002013-07-30T15:19:09.237+02:00Hey, no need to apologize for not using FB.
Truth ...Hey, no need to apologize for not using FB.
Truth be told, the reason I started putting screenshots on there was twofold: 1) it gave me a reason to use FB in the first place and I wanted to get in the habit of using it to keep track of relatives. 2) a growing dissatisfaction with Goole's products being molded into a FB-like turd. In this case Picasa's conversion into Google Photo.

I'd (probably) not post the personal story connected to screenshots on FB either, so I love thatyou do it here.Lanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06835095269839169484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6477169190731480241.post-13684575636882079682013-07-29T16:55:26.071+02:002013-07-29T16:55:26.071+02:00I know the new thing to do these days is using fac...I know the new thing to do these days is using facebook, but mixing my virtual adventures with reality doesn't really work for me. They even have send me an email to say what is up this weekend, and I do have sort of access to the beta forums, but when I try to read any specific entry it tells my I don't have access. So I am not there yet. I am not sure if I should wait for the official beta code/invite email, or whether I am in no-mans-land, and I should contact customer service.

On the difficulty levels. Yes, that is great. Hitting a wall, and then slowly overcoming it is fantastic. But my experience is that that works great in Beta. Once a game goes live you are supposed to have done your homework and have perfect builds from the wiki or youtube. You can do it yourself if you have a fixed team that figures it out together. That would be great. But that demands some steady presence. And that is where I am a bit in a fix. I might be doomed to PUGs, and then challenging team dungeons might be more a case of frustration for all. (sorry for the quick response. wrote it up quickly before going back to work.)Phedrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06563052105703506187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6477169190731480241.post-24308362398947492682013-07-01T21:06:32.779+02:002013-07-01T21:06:32.779+02:00Just wanted to comment on grouping and difficulty....Just wanted to comment on grouping and difficulty.

From level one until until 15 you can solo quite happily, the difficulty is set close to comfortable. Suddenly you'll be faced with your level 15 solo class quest, this is where it can all go horribly wrong, this is where the game demands you use your brain and learn your class (mileage may vary dependant on class). It's not just the class quest, the game throws a difficult main story quest at you too (also solo).

It feels archaic, like a step back in the mmo timeline, games demanding you learn how to play? What kind of nonsense is that! The game did throw a few clues at you with quest rewards and story, eating dirt a few times may or may not jog your memory. Forums are fun when things like that happen, it can bring out the best in a community, then comes the grouping...

After the indignity of many solo deaths the game suddenly forces you to group, thankfully it gives you an easy time with these dungeons, most are a walk in the park and with a half decent CNJ or a good THM (look it up! *grin*) your laughing all the way to the phat loot drops and public deaths/shame should be non existent.

Three consecutive dungeons later and a few solo quests, it's time to get your ass kicked again. What I totaly loved, nay LOVED, about this was how we solved the problem of the very many deaths. We looked at what was happening, listened to what the story was telling us and each others ideas, experimented, wiped several times but man did we feel good when we got there.

Of course being in the closed beta this early in the games history means no walkthroughs or videos on youtube, we had to think for ourselves. I got lucky, no one even wanted to ask in general chat, seemed this particular PUG was very happy with the concept of working it out for ourselves. It was a rare treat.

Halfway through this weekends beta my THM was stuck at lvl 21, his Grand Company quest was getting the better of him each and every time, that bloody mechanoid is intent and very effective at keeping me from saving the day. Am I pissed that I couldn't progress my main story this weekend: YES. Did I find plenty else to do leveling my other classes and improving my gathering and crafting : YES. Am I looking forward to really making that mechanoid eat dust and rub his face in it next beta: YES.

Sometimes past frustrations make the winning that much sweeter :)

Geekzorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11313017286168613164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6477169190731480241.post-29456703436849701742013-06-17T22:44:28.623+02:002013-06-17T22:44:28.623+02:00Hmm, downloading is not as easy as it sounds. I have signed up, and since I am a registered owner of the game I suspect I will get an official beta invite relatively soon. The fact I have ignored invites from alpha and onwards will hopefully not work against me. You'll have access through beta 4 (and CB3 I think) and two weeks free at launch, what's not to like about that? I agree crafting and gathering should only be for those prepared to really work for it, as for the quality it's really hard to say at such early levels. I think CB3 has at least two more weekends and a longer stretch in addition to go, that should see me find out what can be made and how useful it is. At my current level the dungeon drops seem to be the best gear but I haven't gotten far enough as a weaver to see what it offers, that's sorted now I can mine those elusive lightning crystals.

Graphics wise the game looks better than my screenshots, I turned AA off, my card seems to be playing up and switching on AA made the fan sound like it was trying to escape the casing. I love the art styyle, there are some seriously strange cutesy creatures alongside quite evil looking things that hit just as hard.

There's no need to buy it if you bought the original, the sub is less than most sub based games and you get free time to decide on whether or not to invest, CB4 is open to anyone I believe.

I really love it, miss it and can't wait to get back in.Geekzorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11313017286168613164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6477169190731480241.post-43736693480581061672013-06-17T13:04:08.449+02:002013-06-17T13:04:08.449+02:00Great write up, Geeky! Especially the screenshots ...Great write up, Geeky! Especially the screenshots you posted on Facebook show a wonderful grafted environment. But that was actually already looking good in the original one too.

I read a lot of positives in your write-up. The combat is not action based. Big plus. Crafting/gathering is a grindy affair, which it should be. It should not be about exciting mini-games. So that is another plus.

How is useful is it to do crafting? That is the real question. If you struggle for hours and hours to get something that is still not as useful as a cheap-ish item on the action house then there is not much fun in doing it. In Rift crafting made little sense. In GW2 you can get to maximum level in all professions in a few hours, making it utterly uninteresting to me. Vanguard hard it right. Very grindy in a wondeful way. I am missing that. Fallen Earth came close. Missing that game too. So maybe FFXIV is it?

I have never played any of the FF games and not really looking for something new. But I should at least download it, right?Phedrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06563052105703506187noreply@blogger.com
